This is a story of three witches—one evil, one good, and one untutored in her power—and the man who must confront each to save his kingdom. Years of visions, clairsentience, and her adopted family’s scorn have driven Lissa DeHaven into an isolated existence. One night, she is ripped from it and thrust into a volcanic world, Aribisala, where monsters invade her mind. Her rescuer insists she is the prophesied Spell Breaker, who will save his people from destruction. Fearful she’s lost her sanity and will be unable to control her gift, Lissa refuses her new role. Richard Hanover, king of Aribisala, has fought for his country for years. As dark forces gather on the horizon, he must help Lissa harness her raw power. Secrets he cannot tell cloud his attraction to her, and neither the prospect of death nor her ultimate return to Earth will stop him from ensuring the safety of his people.
