Lisa Springsteel Dupre is the author of the book, Becoming a Fashion Designer, which published worldwide by Wiley in English in 2013, in Mandarin in 2015, and will publish in Arabic in 2018.

She is a 20 year New York fashion industry veteran with experience in design, merchandising, product development, production, global fabric/trim sourcing, sales, promotion, and marketing and branding. She served as the first ever Fabric Archives Manager for Ralph Lauren Corporation, in a position created by Mr. Ralph Lauren, consulted for Marc Jacobs, and was the Fabric and Trim Director for J. Mendel, and was responsible for hand selecting the silk crinkle chiffon fabric for the custom gown that was created for actress Terri Hatcher for the 2004 Emmy Awards.
