Don't Touch This Book! – T’aadoo bidilnihi!
Don’t Touch This Book! is all the things we were told as a child not to do to a book but with a present day spin. The Bilingual Navajo-English version was selected as part of the 2017 Governor’s (NM) First Grade Reading Initiative and will be distributed free to first graders to take home and enjoy. Don’t Touch will be given to first graders who are Navajo. The Navajo translation is by Dr. Carmelita Lee of Farmington, NM.
Don’t Touch This Book! is also available in English, Spanish, and Bilingual Spanish-English. The Spanish translation is by Dr. Nasario García of Santa Fe, NM.
