Tyler grew up in a Christian household. From the onset of memory, Tyler has been attracted to males over females. However, he fought to be heterosexual.
Andrew was born gay. During childhood he was totally abused.
Tyler acquires work and must move there to Aurora from Gurnee. He meets Andrew on the bus and becomes his roommate. There is an instantaneous attraction between them. Tyler is sexually naïve and in danger because of it.
Andrew's experiences as a gay waiter/prostitute in The Flamingo Lounge are rough. Andrew's life is wild and dangerous, full of sex.
Follow the lives of Tyler and Andrew as they fall in love and develop a relationship. They discuss their relationship, love, the correctness of same-sex love, societal discrimination, and religious views on same-sex love.
Despite this anguished battle, Tyler falls more deeply in love with Andrew. Andrew is in deep love already and pursues Tyler. This is their evolution as they tackle all of the debate over homosexuality in our churches and society.
About Trystan Mickel Windemier (Grand Rapids, Michigan Author)
Trystan was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and raised in rural Cedar Springs. He attended public schools there and graduated valedictorian in 1986. Trystan enjoys writing, learning, music, and reading. He served as a youth director at his church for two years. Trystan worked five years in a tool and die shop. He wrote many editorials for the local press concerning educational issues. He served on the local BOE.
Trystan became a teacher of home-schooled students. He owned and operated his own service, creating his own graduation program and school four years later. He wrote much of his own curriculum for all subjects. After 15 years of teaching, graduating 35 pupils, and writing a considerable amount of curriculum, Trystan left teaching. Trystan was also a driver's education teacher for five years and endured many exciting drives with students. Trystan Mickel Windemier now writes books and resides in Cedar Springs, Michigan. He is self-employed as an author.
