Sally Snyder is the author and illustrator of Hold the Fort and If It's to Be, It's Up to Me! The ABC's of Character Building. She is a retired educator, spending most of her career working with enthusiastic third graders. As a result of writing and illustrating her children's books, Sally has had the unique opportunity of being involved in school visits, a completely different perspective of the elementary classroom. It has been a great way for her to stay connected with children of all ages.

Sally and her husband, Mike, have four grown children and nine wonderful grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, watercolor painting, reading, writing and gardening. She lives in Defiance, Ohio with her husband and their little multi-poo, Molly.
