Making Notes offers a look into the rich history of music and musicians in North and South Carolina. The region is famous for being home to musicians as diverse as James Taylor, Hootie and the Blowfish, John Coltrane, Doc Watson, and Loonis McGlohon. In this non-fiction collection, writers and musicians offer recollections of the songs, the venues, and the performers important to that legacy.
