The poems in this collection come from the author's experiences through travel to various areas in the United Sates: Hawaii, Mississippi, Iowa, and Tennessee. She has sections about nature and her experiences.

Patricia Cruzan wrote three poetry books; she has five children's books. Her stories, articles, and poems have appeared in various publications: Grit, Fayette County News, Fayette Woman, The Citizen, Rhythm & Rhyme chapbooks, Georgia Council of the International Reading Association, Spawn, and Golden Poetry. She wrote articles for Fayetteville First Baptist and for the Fulton County Board of Education.

At one time, Patricia sang various vocal concerts. Most of the concerts were in the United States, but she traveled as an artist to Sydney, Australia. Patricia studied voice as part of her undergraduate work. Other foreign travel included trips to England, France, and Mexico.
