Scions of Azazyel: War in Heaven
Angelica, a proclaimed atheist, finds her beliefs challenged when she meets the archangel Gabriel. She is under attack by a vampire when she is saved by this handsome man who fights off this creature of the night. These undead beings trace their origins back to Lamech who slew Cain. Lamech in turn was cursed worse than Cain. Along with her somewhat nerdy older brother, Jonah, they set off on an epic quest to find the Gnomes of Nome and the lost staff of Moses. These small creatures live beneath the mountains of Alaska.
Angelica and her brother quickly find themselves caught up in a war between the gnomes and their distant kin the dwarves. Angelica is gifted a magical ring of power which once belonged to the prophet Solomon. In order for Angelica to use Solomon’s Ring, she must regain her lost faith in God. Gabriel reveals that they are descended from a fallen archangel, Azazyel. He took a mortal wife and taught humans how to make weapons and armor before the flood. (Genesis 6 and the Book of Enoch) Azazyel was buried alive but his tomb has been lost. Only one of his children can find him. Gabriel seeks Azazyel and other angels who came to earth to battle Satan long ago. Some were worshipped as gods of the old world.
These heavenly beings must be found before Armageddon begins or all will be lost. As Satan martials his forces within the bowels of the earth, the dragons of myth awake. These creatures were once cherubim who were subverted by the Devil in the great war. Upon the cursed ground where Able was slain and through his dark powers, Lucifer transformed these nine fallen creatures of fire into the dragons, the most feared foes of men and angels.
About Robert Wheeler (Pensacola, Florida Author)
I am a Florida native who loves the Gulf Coast beaches. My favorite spot to read is on the deck of a cruise ship. I started my first book, Scions of Azazyel: War in Heaven 10 years ago which took me 8 years to complete. However, I have four books currently (As of July 2018). My second book, The Witch of Endor: Vampires just went live on audible.
I became a beekeeper three years ago. I love the little girls except when they sting me. The joy of the lava lamp of amber honey is at times disrupted by moments of sheer terror when one of the black and yellow bees gets inside my suit. I recently upgraded to a new dragon armor suit that they have yet to pierce with their poisoned blades.
I have been a practicing chiropractor for over twenty years in Alaska and now in Florida. I love family time and I have given some of my characters names that belong to my nieces and nephews or children. One of my main characters, Angelica, is described as how my wife appeared when we started dating. Even her personality is like the woman that I fell in love with.
I love to write fantasy and poetry full of action, romance, which is intermingled with some scares and plot twists. My signature writing style is that I write a poem for each chapter that gives clues or backstory about the chapter. I mix Biblical names and stories with Greek, Norse and Hebrew mythology.
