Sherlyn is an American Author/Speaker and a Virginia native, raised by two loving grandparents in Christiansburg, Virginia. During her career, she embraced each opportunity to enroll in business writing classes offered through her employer. Her vivid imagination led her to creative writing classes to craft her début novel, Something Desirable. Solving a mystery leads to romance in her second novel Captured Hearts.

Sherlyn writes about strong independent women, love and the tight bond between family and friendships. Her novels introduce believable characters and positive images her readers can relate to while maintaining a page-turner as she spins her story. She opens her heart in her memoir A Gift Called Mother: The Stages and Fantasies of Motherhood. She is editing her next romance novel and is writing a second non-fiction book.

Contributing to charities and encouraging our youth is very important to her. When she met a community director, the director asked her to present a writing workshop for individuals interested in writing. She compiled facts, developed a syllabus and contributed her time to help the community.  She also enjoys networking at events, conferences, photography, and cruises.  Sherlyn is the proud mother of one daughter and one son and she has three grandsons. She lives in Virginia with her husband.
