About MM Schreier (Vermont Author)

MM Schreier

MM Schreier is a classically trained vocalist who took up writing as therapy for a mid-life crisis. After a couple of years writing the requisite angry-divorcee blog (hey, don’t laugh, it’s part of the process!) a reader suggested trying a Flash Fiction contest. After that, there was no looking back.

Whether contemporary or speculative fiction, favorite stories are dark and rich in sensory details. Weird twists abound—fiction with just enough truth thrown in to make folks question. Or perhaps that’s non-fiction that’s somehow gotten twisted up in imagination.

A firm believer that people are not always exclusively right- or left-brained, in addition to creative pursuits, Schreier manages a robotics company and tutors math and science to at-risk youth. When spare time allows or inspiration is needed, Schreier can be found hiking or snowshoeing in the Green Mountains of Vermont with a spoiled Labrador Retriever.
