When life throws you a curveball, do you have what it takes to get back in the game?

Gavin: All I ever wanted was to play ball. When an act of sheer stupidity took that dream away, I didn't know if I would ever bounce back. But now I've got the opportunity to coach an up-and-coming phenom, and I'm going to give it all I've got. The fact that I've been lusting after his smoking hot sister only sweetens the deal. She's got that whole sexy librarian thing going on—all buttoned up and prim. I can't stop thinking about undoing every one of those buttons. The only problem? She thinks I'm just a kid. But I'll show her I'm not only a man...I’m the man for her.

Emerson: Never underestimate the importance of a well-thought-out plan. My life is a series of carefully calculated decisions, all aimed at ensuring a successful future that includes a partnership at a prestigious law firm. I didn’t expect to find myself suddenly acting as guardian for my younger brother, Jay, but I can adjust for his sake. I’m not about to let one change make me lose sight of my goals. Unfortunately, my brother’s very hot and very young baseball coach doesn’t care too much about my plans. He has a plan of his own—one that includes making me fall for him. I just need to keep my eye on the ball and remember my priorities, because this is one game I can’t afford to lose.

About Sylvie Stewart (Greensboro, North Carolina Author)

Sylvie Stewart

Sylvie Stewart’s addiction to books has been a lifelong problem. It was the cause of many scoldings when her mother discovered Sylvie army-crawling to the bookshelf after lights out. And it is the reason her husband would have a fairly solid case if he claimed “alienation of affection” and pointed a finger at her e-reader (a.k.a “The Precious”). Nevertheless, books are in Sylvie’s heart to stay, and she has transformed her love of books into a career as an author.

A move to North Carolina inspired Sylvie’s debut Romantic Comedy series. Carolina Connections is a collection of standalone novels based in her new hometown, and it combines her love of romance, humor, and sexy times. There is also some wine drinking incorporated in there, as this is another of Sylvie’s passions. Perhaps a future story will involve kayaking, a new interest in Sylvie’s life. Experience has taught her that you can’t kayak and drink wine simultaneously, though, so don’t try this at home!

The Fix (book 1), The Spark (book 2), The Lucky One (book 3), and The Game (book 4) are now available in ebook and paperback. More projects and new installments to the Carolina Connections series are in the works. That is, if Sylvie’s nine-year-old twins will stop trying to peek at her laptop while she’s writing. That might lead to some awkward parent-teacher conferences.

Sylvie was recently awarded the National Indie Excellence Award for Romantic Comedy for her novel The Spark, as well as the Readers’ Favorite Silver Medal for Romantic Comedy.
