In a dystopian future, a double murder is committed in Rosebud, South Dakota, home of the Sicangu Oyate Sioux. The suspect is Dr. Errol McAllen, a white man who lives in the mysterious castle-like mansion on the edge of town. The evidence against him seems irrefutable, but Chief of Police Ada “Charging Deer” Wicker has her doubts. To keep the peace in her tribe, she must prove or disprove McAllen’s guilt quickly.
