GILLIAN DOHR'S LAST MISTAKE KILLED PEOPLE. THE NEXT MISTAKE MAY KILL HER.

Hotshot jury consultant Gillian Dohr views the world in shades of gray, believing even the most damning evidence might convict the wrong person. Friends and enemies alike call her The Oracle because she always picks the right jurors to keep her clients from being convicted—until a man she helps set free goes on a killing spree.

Three guilt-wracked years later, Gillian is finally ready to leave the solitude of her Wyoming ranch and get back into the game. But fear of making a mistake haunts her. So does an NYPD detective who’s as dangerous to her heart as the killer he’s after. NYPD Detective Samson Brankowski views the world in black and white, good vs. bad. If you do the crime, you do the time. He considers Gillian a get out of jail free card for criminals. So when fate forces them to work together to prevent a massacre on the subway, it’s the beginning of a love-hate relationship, one with deadly consequences as Gillian uses her people reading skills and Sam his cop instincts to catch a vicious killer stalking Manhattan.

About Liz Roadifer (Cheyenne, Wyoming Author)

Liz Roadifer

Liz Roadifer is the award-winning author of The Oracle suspense series and the Peace and Prosperity romantic fantasy series. Besides writing novels, she is a poet, columnist, and Anthropology/ Social Studies/ English teacher whose work has been published in newspapers, magazines, and literary journals. As with most of her stories, she enjoys putting her characters in unusual danger, adding twists and turns to the plot, and then figuring out how to save them in the nick of time. Inserting humor, romance, odd characters, and interesting locales adds to her joy of writing.

Born and raised in New Jersey near New York City, she attended the University of Wyoming and fell in love with the wide-open sky, the high plains, the friendly laidback people of Wyoming, and a certain cowboy from a ranch near Sundance. She now lives in a small town outside of Cheyenne with her husband and enjoys spending time with her sons, daughter-in-law, and three rambunctious grandchildren.

I have had many people ask me why, if I write psychological thrillers, do I also write romantic fantasy. The answer is easy. My brain needs balance. After months writing a fast-paced thriller about murder and mayhem, danger and testy relationships, it’s nice to take a mental vacation and write about love and humor, magic and mayhem. Yes, mayhem is a constant because without conflict, a book would be boring. At least in my romantic fantasies, the mayhem isn’t so hard-edged and desperate. Plus it’s fun to visit the magical town of Peace & Prosperity and explore its wide range of eccentric and mythical citizens, its back alleys, crazy laws, and fantastic shops. One never knows who or what is waiting around the corner. With pesky, playful, fun-loving fairies around, it’s never a dull moment.
