The Rewards of Virtue
Larry Trotter is a middle-aged, unemployed loser until he is invited to dinner by a pair of very eccentric neighbors, who grill him on his past, and during which he passes out. He wakes to find that his world has not only been turned upside down, but inside out and twisted up like a sweater that has been left in the dryer too long. He is thrust into an adventure that soon embroils him in ancient history, a world-wide conspiracy, corporate intrigue, golf, an epic chess game, Martian invaders, saving the world, rock and roll, and even more terrifying, a steady girlfriend.
This is a light-hearted, fantasy lark sure to feed your hunger for escapism.
